Their destination is a hill town called Manali, set in the Himalayas it provides the perfect finish to the first ever Summer Edition of the Rickshaw Run.
During a break in the rain the Rickshaw Run teams took on La Martiniere Boys School Basketball Team. After a tentative start, the Rickshaw Run team had to admit defeat to a 34-26 score.
It was then time to make final preparations before heading out of Calcutta centre under the watchful eye of a police escort.
Principle of La Martiniere Boys School, Mr. Chakrabarty wished the teams farewell and cut the ribbon that signalled the start of the Summer Rickshaw Run.
