It occurred to us at Adventurist HQ last week that any Spaniards taking on the challenge of the Africa Rally this year may not really feel like driving all the way to England for the launch, only to turn round and drive south again, through their home country.
So just to make things easier for our Spanish friends, and a little more complicated for us, we have decided to hold a mini-launch in Barcelona on 15 December 2009.
The UK branch of the mighty Africa Rally will kick off on 13 December, with the teams stopping off in Barcelona two days later for a mammoth party. This way the Spanish and UK teams can swap tales before heading south to the Sahara.
For anyone who wasn't lucky enough to get a place on the Africa Rally during the first round of sign-up, more places are going to be released on Thursday 26 February at 2 p.m GMT . All you need to do is sign in to your user account just before this magic hour and click on the Adventure Sign Up button to grab that coveted place.
