London's Hyde Park played the perfect host to the mighty Mongol Rally teams' departure today.
The weather held out and 180 teams set out to take on the world's worst roads in some of the world's worst cars.
Some teams were still fixing their cars on the start line, some had breakdowns on the way to the start, but thousands watched them all successfully splutter out into central London.
