17 vehicles that made it to the finish line of the Africa Rally have been sold by auction and the money raised donated to three charities working in Cameroon.
The teams drove thousands of miles across deserts and jungles from the UK to Cameroon and handed over their cars at the finish line. The Adventurists' man on the Ground Duncan worked together with local authorities to hold the auction which raised a massive £14,344.
Team Saharan Accidentals' Daihatsu was the highest earner for the charities, selling for £2,266. Team Friends of Armani's Saab and Team No Regrets' Mercedes also sold for more than £2000.
The average amount raised per vehicle for charity was just shy of £844 of the Queen's Finest Sterling Pounds.
The total raised was split between these three awesome projects in Cameroon. Visit their websits to find out more about what they do.
